About ThorCall Us
About ThorMeet & Greet
Thor
Dogs – Picky about his pals, so a slow, proper intro will tell us who makes the cut
Cats – No kitties for this fella
Kids – Yes, 10 and up
For a guy named after the god of thunder, Thor is shockingly soft. He is a whole lot of dog with the heart of a teddy bear. He walks like a gentleman on leash and takes treats so gently you would never guess his size, and he already knows sit, down, and shake. Volunteers keep calling him a gentle giant, and nothing else fits.
Life before HSHC did not give him much of a real home. He spent a lot of it on his own, so the simple stuff like a soft bed of his very own and a person who sticks around is really going to make him happy. He is still learning the ropes of house life and does best in an easygoing home where someone enjoys the teaching part, treats in hand instead of a heavy hand.
He is also working on his fitness these days, which mostly means more walks and fewer snacks, though he will happily lobby for the snacks. An active family who loves to get outside is his idea of a perfect match. Under all that muscle is a total mush just waiting for his turn at the good life. Want to be the lucky one to show it to him? Come meet Thor today!

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
