If you've ever wanted to be somebody's whole entire world, Basil is your girl. She greets the morning with a wiggle that starts at her nose and doesn't quit until it reaches the tip of her tail. She's a goofball and so much smarter than she lets on. Sit, down, shake, and yes, a running leap straight into your arms on cue. She learns fast and loves to show off, and she's nowhere near done, so there's a fun little training buddy in your future if that's your thing.
The fastest way to Basil's heart is a good hunk of cheddar. She'd follow a piece of cheese clear across the county. She's a real athlete too, so hand her a flirt pole and watch a furry Olympian show up.
Here's the thing about Basil, though. Once she picks her person, she'll wedge herself as close as she can get and follow you everywhere. She isn't after a big crowd or a house full of other pets. She just wants you. Give her a home where she gets to be the one and only with someone gentle who's happy to move at her speed, and she will hand you her entire heart.

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
