Love & Let Live
Every animal deserves a second chance at love — and life. We invite you to be part of the solution and give back to the animals who give us so much.
We contract with Hamilton County and its municipalities to serve as as both the animal control facility and Humane Society for Hamilton County. Therefore, we do receive partial funding from the county to hold stray and unwanted animals for a period of 7 days.
The funding we receive from the county and its municipalities covers only basic shelter and care, vaccines and general processing of each animal for one week. Any life-saving medical care a new arrival may require, however, is 100% funded by the shelter’s Survivor Program from day one.
Our annual operating budget for 2016 is approximately $2M. Only 22% of our funding will come from county contracts. Please consider giving to HSHC to help close this funding gap. Every little bit helps!
When you become an HSHC Member with a recurring monthly or annual donation (scroll down for details!), your gifts help us give every animal a second chance at love and life.
Charitable giving may start at home, but it can (and should!) continue at work. By participating in a corporate‐sponsored initiative, you ‐‐ and your company ‐‐ can help even more pets find forever homes. Check out a few of our corporate giving ideas and get your colleagues involved, too. (Giving is always more fun with a friend.)
Since only a small portion of our operating costs are covered by government funding, we rely heavily on the amazing corporate and community sponsors who support HSHC. We couldn’t do what we do… without YOU!
Our generous and big-hearted benefactors have numerous ways to support our mission with their financial gifts. Learn about our various planned giving options below!
The ways to help HSHC are limited only by your imagination. We have some starter ideas for you though… and are always open to more. Our precious pets thank you in advance.
