Sir Nugget
Howdy folks! They've been calling me Sir Nugget. Do they think I'm like a gold nugget? But being a stray, homeless cat, they can call me whatever floats their boat. I'm just grateful to be someplace safe, dry, and cozy. I arrived at the HSHC on September 8 after a nice guy picked me up in Westfield. When I was examined by the medical staff, they found that I had ear infections in both ears, and later I developed an upper respiratory infection. They said I was cooperative and friendly. Thanks to their TLC, I recovered and moved into the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe (SKCC) on October 1. I found a super spiffy elephant-shaped cat cubby and made it my headquarters. I am an 8-year-old male DSH, neutered, and house-trained. I am a friendly fellow with an easygoing personality. For example, when one of the lady cats at SKCC who doesn't like cats hissed at me, I ignored her. Life's too short to be crabby. If you look at me, you'll notice I have rather raggedy-looking ears, an indication of previous ear infections that went untreated. I also have green eyes with interesting brown specks! I may not be what you call a handsome cat, but I have a rugged, outdoorsy quality. Believe me when I say I'd love to become a pampered, indoor cat with a family that dotes on me. Any takers? 10-6-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
