Aladdin (in Foster)
I think I'm supposed to have a magic lamp I can rub to grant my biggest wishes. So far, moving into my foster home has been like a dream come true. I am a 13-year-old, DSH pale orange male cat, already neutered and completely housebroken. A Noblesville Police Officer brought me to the HSHC on September 5, 2026, as a stray. The medical staff gave me a thorough examination and found that I was emaciated at only 5.8 pounds and had two ear infections. My gums were in bad shape, and I had tummy troubles. But I was friendly and cooperative during my many doctor appointments.
I think I remember what it was like to be someone's pet cat and how good it felt to be held and petted. Someone loved me once and had me neutered. I can't tell you how I became a stray, but given my poor condition when I arrived, it has been the hardest thing I've ever done. Finding food and shelter, especially in bad weather, makes life very difficult. So once I was given the medicine I needed to make me more comfortable, I moved into my foster home on October 11. My foster mom (FM) told the interviewer lady (IL) that I am highly skilled at using my litter box, my appetite is excellent, and I take my medicine like a champ. I am still pretty scared of being in a home with all new people. But I am feeling more comfortable every day. When FM opens the door to my room, I am very interested in what will happen next. I have even started to fall asleep while she is in my room! So I have begun to trust her and value her presence. I was only with FM for three days when she sent this report to the IL. Now that it is November, I feel braver and more confident. I know it might be hard to find someone to adopt me and love me since my health is not tip-top. But I want to spend the rest of my days in a loving home with a caring cat lover. Could you be the one to take me in? 11-2-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
