Koi spent a few days in a foster home, and her report card came back glowing! Her foster mom fell for her fast and told us she is so affectionate and funny, and that she wants to be part of whatever you are doing. She has a goofy streak a mile wide that comes out in wiggles and zoomies with the occasional dramatic play bow.
New places can make her a little unsure at first, so she does best when she can ease in at her own pace. It didn't take her long! Within a few days she was picking up the household routine and learning that she doesn't have to be "on" all the time.
Koi is a big, smart shepherd who loves treats more than just about anything, which makes teaching her new things a blast. That comes in handy, because she gets so happy to see you that she forgets her paws belong on the floor! She is still working on her polite hellos and would love an adopter who enjoys keeping up the training with lots of praise.
Koi is ready for a soft couch and a person of her own. Come visit her and let her practice those polite hellos on you!

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
