Guy Fieri
I don't think I look anything like this Fieri guy. But I do like his hairdo. I am 2-years-old, a white and black DSH, not yet neutered, and unfamiliar with being a pet cat. I was found as a stray cat in Noblesville on August 27. I weigh 10.6 pounds, so I haven't been starving while I was on my own. When I was found, I had multiple wounds on my neck and face. Some angry animal must have given me a lickin'. When the medical staff examined me, they saw that I had a UTI, diffuse scabbing all over, and I tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+). This virus is found only in cats. It can lower my immune system. I can live a long, happy life, even with FIV- cats, if I have regular vet visits, a healthy diet, and an indoor-only lifestyle. I was given medication to treat my wounds and UTI. My latest exam showed my skin is healing well, with no further signs of swelling, infection, or pain.
When the interviewer lady (IL) stopped by my apartment, I was in my bathroom. I poked my head into the bedroom to give her a look. I got close enough to sniff her hand. I was pleased to see she was ready to give me some high-quality petting, chin scratching, and ear rubbing. I began to purr like an engine. During all this lovely, affectionate attention, I noticed I hadn't eaten all my wet-food breakfast. So while she was petting me, I leaned over my dish and snarfed it all up. I will need a lengthy, gradual introduction to my new family and any 4-legged family members, especially since I have never had a loving home before. 10-7-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
