The world has felt like a big, loud place lately, so he takes his time deciding a new person is a friend. Let him make the first move, and the melt is worth the wait. He goes from unsure to leaning-in and asking for more the moment he decides you are one of the good ones.
There is a curious, playful boy in there just waiting for the confidence to come out. He is learning that couches are for lounging, yards are for exploring, and every day we see a little more of that goofy side peek through. Chief would do best in a quiet home where he can settle in slowly, with someone who is glad to let him bloom at his own pace. He has completely won over the staff here, and the right person is going to feel very lucky he chose them.

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
