Tiny Teenie Weenie
You may have read about or even visited my littermate, Iddle One. I was also one of those 10 cats rescued from a hoarding case and transferred to HSHC on May 12, 2026. My small size may be due to inadequate nutrition in my youth, but I see each day here as a chance to grow stronger. I was spayed when I arrived from the Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic and have been given every opportunity to recover. Although I was exposed to the Calicivirus, which affects the upper respiratory tract and causes painful mouth ulcers, the dedicated care and support I received allowed me to heal. I now feel much better, and am so grateful to have a fresh start in the cattery where I can finally relax and look forward to a brighter future. The HSHC staff believe that with patience and kindness, even an undersocialized kitty like me can blossom. I am even smaller than Iddle One at only 4.4 pounds. My medical exam also found two healed scars on my nose, thinning hair on my back, a bobtail, and urine stains on my feet and legs. I am mostly white with brown tabby markings-though from my past, my legs are a little yellowish. While it was tough growing up in a hoarding situation, I am hopeful that my two-year-old heart can find happiness and trust. When I first met the interviewer lady (IL), I was shy and hid under my bed, but I found the courage to let her pet me. I realized these new experiences can help me find comfort and friendship. The folks at HSHC know that a gradual, gentle introduction to a new home and family will help me blossom. They recommend giving me a small, safe space and lots of encouragement, so I can grow more confident until I'm ready to explore. I'm also set up for success on Hill's C/D Stress diet and truly believe my new beginning is just ahead. 6-8-26
