Lil (in Foster)
My history with the HSHC begins in 2012, when I was just a 22-day-old kitten. My finder was at a gas station in Noblesville when she spotted me and brought me to the shelter. I was adopted in November 2012. Fourteen years later, on July 21, I was returned to the HSHC after being surrendered to the IACS in Indianapolis. Whew! I am grateful to be alive and well. My medical exam revealed some tummy trouble, and I was given a slow feeder and switched to a non-prescription diet of Hill's Sensitive Stomach and Skin. This did the trick, and I'm feeling much better. On July 28, I moved into a wonderful foster home where I've been treated like a queen. The interviewer lady (IL) has not met me, but my foster mom (FM) gave her the following report to describe me to potential adopters.
Lil is a sweet, chatty old lady and a fabulous houseguest. She has perfect litter box skills and a great appetite. She hasn't met any children or other critters here, but she has charmed every new guest she's met. My visitors were surprised to hear her age because of how effortlessly she runs around finding people to pet her! Lil has been affectionate and curious since day one, and she's a perfect lap cat now that she's settled into a routine. She greets me with a series of rather raspy, excited meows whenever I come home from work. When it's time to cuddle, she'll find me and start meowing. The sweetest thing she does is look up at me lovingly when she's sitting in my lap. Lil hasn't expressed any interest in toys yet, but she seems content to get exercise by following people around the house. Lil would be a perfect fit for any quiet home with a window to look out of and a warm lap to sit in.
Now I'd say that was an A+ recommendation, wouldn't you? I know that I am 14-years-old and a bit skinny, but I'm feeling better than ever. Please consider giving me a forever home where I can share my love with you. 8-16-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
