Kango
(Needs a Foster)

Dogs: Meet & greet
Cats: TBD
Kids: Yes
Kango is an active dog who loves to have fun!
Kango arrived at the shelter through no fault of his own due to his owner's housing situation. He's crate trained and housebroken. He knows how to sit and shake, and he's eager to learn even more tricks! He loves treats, so that makes training easy. He's lived with kids before and really enjoyed having them as playmates.
Kango loves to stay busy. He loves to play, and he really loves to run! He would appreciate a yard where he can run, or an owner with an active lifestyle to enjoy hikes, long walks, or runs together. He'll happily entertain himself by tossing a toy around the play yard, but he especially loves when you play with him!
After a bit of play, Kango will snuggle up against you or in your lap for some cuddles. He appreciates a good belly rub.
Kango bonds deeply with his people and takes his job as a protector seriously. He can be wary of new people coming to the house, but he warms up quickly if treats and pets are offered. Like most young dogs, Kango is enthusiastic and excitable. A patient and consistent owner would help him reinforce good manners.
If you're looking for a silly, joyful companion, come in and ask to meet Kango! He's waiting to show you all his favorite toys.

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
