Jaxon is a handsome senior German shepherd with a silver-kissed face and a heart that never got the memo about slowing down. He's still strong and eager on his feet for a senior, still plays like a pup, and leans in for every bit of affection you'll give him.
He's such a lover that a retirement community near his old home became his favorite place on earth, where the residents doted on him and he soaked up every second of it. That's Jaxon for you: a big, gentle guy who just wants to be someone's whole world and will give it right back.
Like a lot of shepherds, he's happiest with a steady routine and someone who enjoys a little training together, and he'll reward that with the kind of loyalty this breed is famous for. Settle in on the couch and he's yours for life. Fair warning though, he already has a fan club, so come see what all the fuss is about.

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
