Description Everly
Everly
My HSHC story began on December 26, 2023, when I was four. A kind stranger found me limping by a highway. Finding safety at HSHC filled me with relief. I spent forty days in medical isolation, undergoing tests and receiving medicine. Although my leg has some nerve damage, it doesn't hurt or need treatment. In February, moving to the adoptable cattery and finally being seen brought me joy. I was adopted in March but sadly returned a month later. It was all because I was unable to coexist comfortably with the other cats in the household. We should have had a very gradual introduction to one another to help me figure out my place in the home. Oh well, I was soon adopted again and lived with this owner for two years. But she is moving and not taking me with her. So I moved back to HSHC on May 4, 2026. The interviewer lady (IL) was so surprised to see me back in the cattery. She opened my door, and I was happy to get up from my bed so she could pet me, scratch my chin, and rub my back. She noticed that my right foot still turns out, sort of like a ballet dancer. She told me I am still a beautiful girl with a lovely, affectionate personality. We had a pleasant visit, and then I began to nibble on my lunch. I am 6-years-old now, already spayed, and litterbox-educated. If you fall in love with me, you won't be able to take me home today. You will be required to complete a BAP (Behavioral Approval Process) to ensure we are a good match. The shelter does not want me to go through the pain of being surrendered again. Don't you agree that I deserve a loving, forever home? Please come to visit me! 6-3-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?

You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
