Boo Bear
Well, how nice to have you visit me, or at least read my interview. I am a real people person, so being lonely is not my cup of tea. My original owner and I had a close, loving relationship, but sadly, she passed away. So while her daughter was packing up her mother's home, I escaped. I turned up as a stray brought to the HSHC on 8-8-26 by the Fishers Police Department. Since I was microchipped, when they called the number, none of the family could take me in. I am a 13-year-old, female, solid black DSH cat, already spayed and litter box savvy. On 8-25, I moved into a wonderful foster home, and it was almost like being back with my owner. I stayed in my small safe space at first, but by the next evening I came out to explore! I get to roam the whole house now, and I never scratch the furniture. Although I don't enjoy being picked up, I LOVE to cuddle. Foster Mom (FM) says she thinks I would spend my days curled up on someone's lap if possible. FM soon learned that I am an outgoing gal. The day the family celebrated a son's birthday, I chose to cuddle on the older son's lap who I'd never met before. You see, I have never met a stranger! I am not a hissy, crabby kind of kitty. I am a calm, friendly lap cat who can never seem to get enough loving pets. But don't be fooled by my age. I am an energetic senior who loves to play. Catching the sunlight reflected off their phones or chasing a laser pointer are my favorites. When I am on someone's lap, I like to nuzzle my face into the crook of their arms. Because I am an older gal, I prefer a high-sided litter box with a low entry point. I have been treated for an eye infection, URI, and tummy trouble. I am feeling much better after having medication. FM says I will be happiest in a home where someone is usually there. When I get lonely, I will meow for company. FM says my meow is very sweet, which matches my personality, and that I'm much cuter in person than my photos indicate. I will bring a lot of joy to your home. 9-20-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?

You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
