Zeus has been through more than any dog should, but this sweet and sensitive boy is still holding onto hope for his happy ending. When he feels safe and comfortable, Zeus is a deeply loyal and loving companion.
Life has not been easy for Zeus. He experienced abuse at a young age, which left him cautious and unsure in new situations. Even so, he has shown just how much potential he has when given patience and kindness. During a two week training program at Paws & Play, Zeus showed how smart and eager he is to learn, especially when he has a consistent routine that helps him feel safe.
Zeus feels most at ease with women and would thrive in a home led by women who can give him the time and patience he needs to feel secure. As he settles in and feels safe, his loyalty and affection really shine.
Zeus loves chest scratches, car rides, and working on food puzzles. He is happiest in a quiet home with a steady routine and understanding people. Loud noises, sudden movements, and unfamiliar places can make him nervous, so he will need adopters who are willing to introduce new experiences at his own pace.

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
