Wrigley
Hey there, world! Glad to meetcha! My name is Wrigley, and I'm a 2-year, 9-month-old girl cat. I first set paw in the HSHC as a stray kitten in 2023. I was just a little squirt, underweight at only 0.6 pounds. Whoa! I was practically starving! I got adopted and lived with my family for 2-1/2 years. But in March 2026, I was surrendered. Now it beats me as to why I'm back, but everyone here tells me I am a cutie, very active, full of energy and pep, and affectionate. I live in the Catio, which means I have a perfect view of people, birds, bugs, and dogs. Totally amazing! I am a very playful gal. I tried wrestling (like most kittens do) with the resident older cat at my house. But she did not appreciate my efforts to play. My key needs are: multiple small meals a day, because I worry about getting enough food; mental stimulation from interactive toys and puzzles; a calm, predictable home with people who understand cat behavior; and safe spaces where I am not startled. I do best with kids 16 and up and people who respect feline body language. I got to live with a foster mom for a couple of weeks, and we got along so well! I was super affectionate, loved being petted and picked up. I even got along well with her dog! The interviewer lady (IL) visited me in my Catio, and she told me I was as cute as a button and a real go-getter! I'm ready for my new owners! 5-26-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
