Get ready to race into a new adventure at the Humane Society for Hamilton County! We are transforming into a pet adoption speedway, revved up and ready to find loving homes for our furry friends.
With our shelter operating at critical capacity, it’s time to hit the gas and help these dogs find their forever families. Meet a diverse lineup of adoptable dogs – each one a potential champion waiting to cross the finish line into your heart.
Adoption fees are just $33 – one for every driver in this year’s Indy 500 – and include a free one-month supply of preventatives, courtesy of Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA Inc.
What's Included in Your Adoption

- All animals will have received their first round of age appropriate vaccinations.
- Receive a complimentary wellness exam at any participating veterinarian partner.
- Receive a complimentary bag of food and special offers from our corporate sponsors!
What You Need to Know
- Adoption fees will be reduced to $33*.
- Fill out an application in advance.
- All members of the household, canine and human, are required to meet potential dogs – bring everyone!
- If you rent, bring your pet policy with you! Reaching landlords can be difficult after hours and on weekends.
- Most importantly, please come. Just walk through and see if there is a dog that speaks to your heart.
