As the holiday season sparks feelings of love and hope, the staff and volunteers at the Humane Society for Hamilton County (HSHC) are disheartened by the reality that over 500 animals won’t have a family to go home to this holiday season.
Instead of chasing deals, we ask that you adopt one of our homeless pets on Black Friday. Join us to Fill Your Heart, Not Your Cart, during our $10 adoption event. The shelter is not a forever home, but so many have waited, or in some cases, over a year, for a forever home.
If you’re considering the addition of a family pet, please know there are dogs and cats of all ages and sizes who are desperately waiting for the chance to love you.

Cost:
All adoptions will include:
– Spay/neuter & microchip
– One round of age-appropriate vaccinations/deworming
– One wellness exam with a participating veterinarian
– One bag of starter food
Things to Remember on Friday, November 28th:
– All members of the household, canine and human, are required
to meet potential dogs – bring everyone.
– Those interested in adopting a cat or dog are encouraged to
complete an application in advance at hshcadoptions.com.
– Only human family members are required to meet potential
cats.
– All adopters are required to present a government-issued ID.
– If you rent your home/apartment, please bring your pet policy
with you. Reaching landlords can be difficult on the weekend.
