King is a brindle puppy in a big-boy body who just needs a minute to believe the world is a friendly place. New faces make him unsure at first, so he takes his time deciding you are someone he can trust. Sit quietly and let him come to you, and he warms up faster than you would expect, right up until he is leaning in for pets and planting a kiss on your nose. Win this boy over and all that affection is yours.

Once he is comfortable, King is a nosy, into-everything goofball with a big brain and an even bigger love of toys. He is much smarter than he lets on, a genuinely good listener who is already improving on leash and picking up his house manners with someone consistent to guide him. He is a gem for grooming too, hopping right in the tub and showing off his pearly whites, which any future adopter will be thrilled about. The staff here are so smitten that he spends his days as our unofficial office coworker, and we cannot get enough of him.

King does his best in a calm, quiet home where he can settle in slowly and learn that he is safe for good. Earn his trust and you will have a loyal, loving friend for life. Come meet the sweet, silly boy who has all of us wrapped around his paw.
