Description Zendaya
Zendaya
I know that I am named after a very famous, glamorous movie star, but I am nothing like her. First off, I'm a 1.5-year-old DSH brown-and-white tabby cat. I have never been in a movie. Even though I am already spayed, I arrived at the HSHC as a stray on July 29. The mystery is that I am microchipped, but no one ever registered my chip, so no one has any information about my past. Secondly, I am extremely shy. I am what they call an under-socialized kitty. I usually respond to change with hissing, swatting, scratching, or trying to escape. This behavior is due to my significant fear of everything! No one taught me how to relax and enjoy affectionate attention, or how to handle new places, people, and events.
When the interviewer lady (IL) came to see me, I scooted from my bed to my litter box room (LBR) before she could see me up close. She was quiet and calm and didn't force herself on me, but I wasn't gonna give her a chance to pet me! No way! She finally picked up a piece of my food and put it on the opening to the LBR. I stretched my neck out to give it a sniff and knocked it onto the floor with my paw before I crunched it up. But I didn't fall for her tricks to get me to leave for some more food. It was nice to hear her tell me I am a very pretty girl with a cute face. I think the HSHC will tell my prospective new owner that I will need a very slow introduction to my home. I will need a small, safe space where I can gradually adjust. Be patient and loving, and I'll do my best to build my courage so I can get to know you. Just don't expect me to walk a red carpet or sign autographs. 9-19-26
