My brother is called Tie, so you can see how my owner tried to make us a cute couple. However, we have never cared for each other and certainly do not need to be adopted as a pair. I am 5-years-old, recently spayed in May, and currently eating Hills C/D diet. Tie and I lived in our previous home for four years. We had the entire second floor of the house to ourselves, alone for up to 10 hours while she was at work. We've had very little interaction with humans. We were the kittens of our owner's mother's cat. We were never altered, and we were never given consistent socialization. Kittens need this stimulation to build social skills and tolerance for human contact. Our owner surrendered us to the HSHC on April 19, 2026. Since then, we have been rather unhappy campers. Moving into the shelter cattery was so terrifying that we avoided engaging with the staff and volunteers. I have now been spayed. I moved into my foster home in July to begin learning the ropes of interacting with humans. Before this, I always had trouble sharing a litter box with my sister. My foster mom & dad (FM, FD) told the interviewer lady (IL) that I am still quite fearful, but I am living in a bedroom with her daughter. She is considered a "cat whisperer," and I am slowly warming up to her. FM reports that:
?I have perfect litter box skills.
?Although I am frightened of people, I am a well-behaved lady, never angry or swatty.
?I am secretly a sweet-natured cat and have begun to let the daughter pet me. I will politely hiss at FM or FD if they come too close.
?I am not upset by loud barking or other animals' noises.
?I have not been around children, and the HSHC feels I must go to a home where everyone is 16 and older.
?It's too early to say whether I am a potential lap cat.
?I love dry cat food, but I'll eat wet food.
?Sometimes when I sleep, I will cover my eyes with my paw. Very cute!
?I love wiggling my booty in preparation for pouncing, and sitting in a window. I am a playful girl!
?I am improving my comfort level with people every day.
FM says I will need an abundance of time to get used to a new forever home. The HSHC staff will provide important recommendations to help me successfully transition to your home. Please be patient; time and space will make all the difference to my successful transition. 7-27-26
