Prince
Although my name sounds royal, I am just a boy standing in front of you, asking you to love and adopt me. Notting Hill is my favorite movie. I am a 4 and 1/2-year-old male grey-and-white DSH cat, 16.2 pounds, already neutered. I was born in a litter of five kittens, the offspring of my first owner's cat. We were surrendered to the HSHC in May 2022. I was adopted a few days later and lived with my owner for 4.25 years. She surrendered me back to the HSHC on August 23, 2026, because she lost her home. This is really sad, but I see it as a second chance to find my forever home.
Like many fellow cats, I was feeling stressed and anxious when I first arrived. The medical examination threw me for a loop! I was a very unhappy camper back then. Now, however, I've gotten used to all the changes and learned to love the staff and volunteers. As for my personality, I enjoy spending time with humans, being in the same room, maybe sitting on the couch or chair next to them. I lived with a 17-year-old and a 13-year-old kid, and we got along really well. I would play "fetch" and bring back whatever the children threw. But I have never enjoyed cuddling, sitting on laps, or being picked up. I am not a PDA kind of fellow. When I get adopted, I'd like my owners to give me a small, safe space where I can adjust to the new home/people/routines. It will take me longer than you might think to feel comfortable and trusting. Another little bugaboo of mine-I hate having a dirty litter box. In my previous home, the 17-year-old was responsible for my litter box, and let's just say it was very hit or miss. I've never lived with another cat or dog, so I'll need plenty of time to be introduced to one of those critters. The interviewer lady (IL) told me I was a distinguished-looking guy, and she admired my willingness to let her pet my head and chin. I am looking forward to making your acquaintance. 10-16-26
