Toast
(Needs a Foster)

Dogs – Yes
Cats – Not a good fit
Kids – Yes, 16+
Toast just aced the ultimate test. One of our staff members took him home for a weekend sleepover, and her review reads like a love letter. He was quiet as a mouse in her spare room, so calm and unbothered.
She was most impressed by his social skills. Toast is playful with other dogs but reads their signals beautifully, backing off and giving space the moment a new friend asks for it. Manners like that don't come along every day, and they make him the perfect companion for a resident dog who wants a buddy. People might be his favorite thing of all, though. He knows no stranger, greets everyone like a lifelong friend, and has never once heard of personal space. If you sit down, congratulations, you have a lap dog now.
Toast is still polishing his training, and he'll learn fastest with a family who enjoys teaching an eager student. Give him his people and a four-legged playmate, and this happy, silly boy will spend the rest of his life thanking you.
Our staff member said it best. A temperament this fantastic should not still be waiting in a shelter. Come meet Toast and see for yourself!

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
