Journey
(Needs a Foster)

The interviewer lady (IL) pointed out to me that my gyrations during our conversation reflected an inherent gymnastic ability. I stood on my head, twisted so that my head and tail pointed in opposite directions, and curled into a ball, which were some of the positions I assumed while encouraging her to pet me. Perhaps I should consider entering the 2028 Summer Olympics. I was first brought to the HSHC in November 2025 as a stray. I was adopted that month, but because my owner is going to have an organ transplant, she cannot have pets in her home to avoid disease exposure. So I returned to the shelter in May. I am now 1-year, 9-months old, neutered, litter box trained, and ready to find a forever home. My owner reported that I am an active, playful fellow who loves bouncing off chairs, playing with all cat toys, and rolling in catnip. When the daughter's older cat moved in, I tried to play with him, but he wanted none of that. I also lived with a couple of dogs, but we just ignored each other. I was in love with the 8-year-old grandchild, and we were playmates. I have no problems going into a cat carrier for trips to the veterinarian. I'm a pretty affectionate guy and always slept with my owner. I am all about being petted, as the IL discovered when she complimented my gymnastic skills. By now, you are probably saying to yourself, "This sounds like the perfect cat! I'd better adopt him before anyone else does." Truer words were never spoken. I'm a catch, even if they won't let me enter the ‘28 Olympics. 6-5-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
