Epi
(Needs a Foster)

In case you are looking for a friendly, affectionate companion, you might want to come check me out! I'm not sure how I ended up with my name, but Epi is considered a short, energetic, and gender-neutral name, so I'll take it. Being a stray means I don't have much choice in the matter. On May 14, I was found roaming about W. State Road 38 when a kind lady picked me up and brought me to HSHC. I am about 1 year and 7 months old and not yet neutered. I guess all new arrivals get a complete physical exam upon checking in. I had a wound on my left neck area, but with treatment, it has nearly healed. My blood test revealed I am FIV+. FIV is a virus found only in cats that may lower a cat's immune system. I can live a long, happy life [even with FIV- cats] with regular vet visits, a healthy diet, and an indoor-only lifestyle. I also had an upper respiratory infection, but I've since recovered. On June 24, I moved into the cattery and have been twiddling my paws, waiting for someone to adopt me. The interviewer lady (IL) has visited me and says I shouldn't have to wait much longer because I gave her nose kisses, head butts, and pushed my face into her hands so she could rub my ears and scratch my chin. I made a very good impression on her. She also told me my DSH coat was such a handsome blend of grey, black, brown, and white. If you would like to add me to your family, come see me! I'm sure you'll see why the interviewer lady says I'm a great kitty. 7-1-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
