If you think my name means I am the theatrical type who loves to perform in front of people, you'd be wrong. Frankly, I don't know how I got this name, but I'm not tied to it. I was originally a community cat before being rescued. My owner adopted me about four and a half years ago. I am a 5-year-old orange-and-white neutered male DSH cat.
As you can see in my photos, I am an attractive-looking guy. I did love playing with my owners and hanging out with them, but I have never been one for physical affection. PDAs are not my thing, and being petted is very low on my totem pole. The interviewer lady (IL) has tried multiple times to win me over. Offering me some wet food on the end of a back scratcher has been the most successful encounter, but when she tried to offer her hand for sniffing, I skedaddled out of the way. I'm just not a touchy-feely kind of boy.
For this reason, the HSHC staff recommends I go to a home where everyone is over 10 years of age. I was surrendered to this shelter on May 18, so you see that I take a long time to feel comfortable with change. I was stressed to the max when I first arrived, but gradually I've learned to accept the TLC I'm offered here. Now I live peacefully in a Roaming Room with other cats. My goal in life is to find a nice quiet spot to take a nap, a circle of sunlight where I can catch some rays, and a new owner who understands what it means to be a bit of a loner. I do, however, LOVE playing with interactive toys that I can chase, pounce on, and catch! It satisfies my natural prey drive. The HSHC staff will provide you with strategies to make my transition to your home successful. Patience, a small safe space where I can adjust, having as stress-free an environment as possible, and eating Hill's C/D Urinary prescription diet to promote better urinary health will make my life 100% better! 9-1-26
