Description Oreo Mcflurry
Oreo McFlurry
I'm not sure what my name means, but I've been told it is a delicious treat. When you are a stray cat, you have no choice in what you are called. But this name sure beats Smelly McBelly or Ritchie McTwitchy. I am 13-years-old, and weigh 13.5 lbs. I have a handsome white and black short-haired coat. When I arrived at the HSHC, I looked a little worse for wear. Again, the life of a stray is a struggle to find food, shelter, and a safe place to sleep. It's no wonder that my blood tests revealed I am positive for the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+). FIV is a virus found only in cats that can lower a cat's immune system. I can live a long, happy life [even with FIV-negative cats] with regular vet visits and a healthy diet. I'm not too worried about this; I'm a tough cookie! I had an upper respiratory infection, an eye infection, and small healing wounds behind my left ear and on my right front leg-all taken care of. I was already neutered, which means that someone saw to this procedure in my past. That is likely why I am a friendly guy. I've had a caring human being in my former life. Because I'm familiar with living outdoors, I will probably be happiest if my new owner allows me some supervised time outside, as well as a comfy place to stay indoors. The HSHC staff will provide you with information on how to teach me to be an indoor/outdoor kitty. When the interviewer lady (IL) came to my Roaming Room to ask me about my life, I welcomed her and was confident enough to let her pet me all over. She was quite enthusiastic, and I let her know when I'd had enough attention with a little swat. I have my limits on how many ear rubs and chin scratches I can handle. The lady who found me thinks I am a sweetheart and is hoping someone meets with me and agrees with her. I can have my bags packed in two shakes of my tail. 7-29-26
