Description Georgie
Georgie
Greetings and salutations! As you can see, I am a lovely grey-and-buff DSH lady. I am nearly 9 years old, and six years ago, I was adopted from a newspaper ad. Things went well with the two male cats and the one female cat. We got along fine, playing and sharing food and water bowls. The big dog was annoying, especially when he barked. But one swat from me, and he would leave me alone. Upon the arrival of a new baby, things became stressful. Once the baby was a couple of months old, I found the smells, movements, noises, and attention most distressing. I have always been a sensitive girl, and changes in my life throw me for a loop. My main complaint was living with the infant. My frustration, stress, anxiety, and fear resulted in swatting. I was never meant to be a nanny cat. So I moved to the HSHC on April 30. My owners report that I am an active, playful girl who loves pretending to hunt when playing chase with toys. Although I don't like being confined, I adore sitting or lying on adult laps. I caught a URI and spent some time in the medical unit. On June 14, I moved into a foster home. My foster mom (FM) says that I am sweet and affectionate with the person who feeds me. I am outgoing and friendly with adults. I don't enjoy being picked up. Sometimes I will stand on my hind legs for elevated petting. And when I'm happy, I chirp like a bird. My litterbox skills are excellent; I even figured out how to use a robot litter box. My FM tried to introduce me to her resident cats, but it was unsuccessful. I took an instant dislike to them and had to be separated from them. My FM feels I will be most comfortable in a home where I am the only pet and there are children over 10. Please provide me with a safe space to call my own and a lengthy transition period so I can become a confident member of your family. 6-28-26
