Barley didn't start his journey here, but we're so glad he found his way to us. He came to HSHC from another shelter, and he's been taking his time settling in and learning that this is a place where good things happen. Spoiler: he's figuring it out. Get some treats involved and this guy is all in. Barley loves toys, and once he's comfortable with you, his goofy side comes out in the best way.

Barley recently had surgery on his leg and is on the mend, which means his adopter gets to be part of something really special. He's available as a foster-to-adopt through his recovery, so you'd be the one he leans on while he heals. That kind of bond can't be manufactured.

He does best in a home with kids 14 and up, where everyone can read his cues and give him the space he needs to feel comfortable.
