Description Lillia (in Foster)
Lillia
The interviewer lady (IL) told me to be myself and share my story. My name is Lillia. I was found as a stray cat on September 14, 2025. My finder brought me to the HSHC for safekeeping along with eight other cats. Being picked up, put in a carrier, and riding in a car was terrifying. I had never spent time with humans, and they frightened me. Scared, I could only hiss, swat, or try to escape when handled. They said I was undersocialized. On October 5, they were quite surprised to check on me and find I had given birth to 6 kittens. Sadly, they all failed to thrive and died. I was still quite stressed at being in the cattery, so on January 10, I moved into a foster home with my foster parents (FP, FM, FD). Since then, I have made remarkable progress in my social skills, my interaction with my FP, and especially with the resident cats! I have made friends with all the cats, but Catsby, the orange tabby, and I are BFFs. I am so affectionate with the kitties that I snuggle up against them as we walk to breakfast. Snuggling with these cats is like a dream come true. I am very vocal, producing a variety of chirps, trills, and meows. I am serious about my morning routine. First, breakfast; then interactive play with FM and wand toys; next, zooming through cat tunnels to chase toys. I am a huge fan of interactive play, and I will cry out to FM to come play with me if she is busy with something else. I am a very affectionate cat and crave being pet. I love receiving behind-the-ear scratches and head pets most of all. I will lie down and chirp to indicate I'm ready for my massage. I do like to be the one to instigate affection, and I don't enjoy being picked up. However, I am fond of napping in the sunshine with Catsby. My FPs think that I'll blossom in a home with other cats. They report that I have come out of my shell more than they ever expected, and it's been a joy to see me become so comfortable with them. I am a very pretty, petite 2 1/2-year-old Calico girl, already spayed, and I use the litter box without fail. I hope for a patient owner who will give me time to adjust and feel safe in my new home.
