Description George (in Foster)
After living 11-years on this planet, there are certain rules I've come to live by that are indisputable. For example, all cats should be living in a home. Mealtime is sacrosanct. All humans should speak fluent cat body language. No means no. If you want me to do something, treats work wonders. Before introducing a new animal to the home, make sure I am given plenty of time to adjust. Little kids are often stress-inducing. Grey cats are absolutely the most handsome of all the cats. If the family you have lived with your whole life is moving to Europe, you should accompany them. When you want attention, you will give someone a headbutt and put your head in their hand. The name George is borne by some highly respected individuals: Curious, Clooney, Washington, Foreman, Bush, Gershwin, and Burns. My family has been preoccupied with their upcoming move to England and often left me to fend for myself, with a sister visiting once a week to clean the litter box. This is wrong on all fronts. So I was surrendered to the HSHC on October 28. I am a perfectly wonderful cat who now needs a new family. The interviewer lady (IL) stopped by to visit with me and ask me some questions. I was pleased to greet her with some headbutts, leaning against her, and licking her arm. She is fairly fluent in Cat Speak, and she knew that sometimes a little petting goes a long way with me. When I've had enough, she stops. Stress can affect me negatively, so I prefer a laid-back, easygoing, calm household. If there are other animals in the house, we will need a lengthy, thoughtful introduction to ensure success. Did I mention that I am also very charming? If you adopt me and decide to move to Egypt, remember, I must go too. If you are looking for a loyal, handsome companion, come meet me and make me part of your family today! 1-12-26

Important Notice: A “meet and greet” with any existing dogs in your home is required, supervised by our team in our play areas. We encourage bringing your family and current dogs, especially if traveling from afar. Cats are not required for a meet and greet.

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?

You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
