About Libby
Hi there. My name's Missy, and I am pleased to meet you. As you can see from my photographs, I am a very attractive brown and white Tabby DSH cat. I have been at the HSHC since October 16 because my owner could no longer afford my medical care. Four years ago, my owner found me as a stray kitty. Something had bitten me, so he rescued me. He must have loved me a lot because I have had skin issues and oral ulcers on and off for several years. For this reason, I eat a diet for allergies and see the Veterinarian every six months. I am now 6-years-old. The medical team at HSHC has been treating my skin and mouth infection, and I am much better now. Although I miss my family, I understand that I need to find a new home. My owner reported that I have spent hours outside, unsupervised, sometimes all night, where I will hunt and chase mice and chipmunks. Noticing that I was feeling hungry would bring me back home for dinner! I got along well with the four-year-old child and the pet Corgi. The interviewer lady was very impressed with me during our visits together. I demonstrated my sweet-natured, lovey-dovey personality as she petted me all over. While lying in my Kitty Kasa, I stretched, rolled over, and showed my tummy so she could reach everywhere. All the time I was purring and making air biscuits. She told me there was a lid for every pot and that my new family would be coming for me very soon. Please come to the HSHC to meet me. 12-10-24

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
