On July 14, a kind person found me as a stray in Fishers and brought me to the HSHC. I tried to explain that I hadn't had much contact with humans, but I was willing to learn. After my physical exam, I was spayed and deemed healthy. I am a 3-year-old Calico girl, DSH, good with the litter box, and looking for a loving home. When I first arrived at the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe (SKCC), I was a bit leery of being out in the big room. The vacuum startled me to pieces! But I soon adapted and began roaming around the whole place. When the interviewer lady (IL) sat down to talk with me, I scooted away to the rug to give her a Look-See. When she didn't force herself on me, I allowed her to pet me. The SKCC staff and I get along famously, and I often walk up to them with my rear end in the air, asking for a pet or 12. Everyone tells me I am a lovely cat with unusual orange-and-black spots on my white coat. I have an orange-and-black heart-shaped spot on my side. The IL took several photos of me walking around, drinking from a fountain, and looking cute. Oh yeah, I forgot to say I am polydactyl, which means I have extra toes, like a Hemingway cat! I hope to see you soon at the Cafe! 9-8-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
