About MirabelMeet & Greet
Mirabel
Although my story begins sadly, I hope for a very happy ending. I am a 2-year-old female DSH with a grey, buff, and white tabby-patterned coat. I arrived at the HSHC as a stray cat along with two other cats found in Westfield. I was surprised to learn I was expecting during my medical examination. Twenty-four days later, in my foster home, I had a difficult birth, delivering one tiny kitten and miscarrying another. I lost the little one two days later. I became very weak, ran a temperature, and needed medication to recover. I don't know if I lost my appetite because I was sad or because I felt bad, but it took me a while to return to my typical healthy self. Now I am in the adoptable cattery, eating and drinking, and receiving visitors. The interviewer lady (IL) paid a call yesterday, and we had a great time. It's always nice to receive compliments, and she told me I was a petite, beautiful kitty. I went right up to her and let her pet my head, cheeks, and chin. I couldn't help but purr as she was stroking my back all the way to the end of my tail. It was heavenly. The only reason she stopped was that I was doing my best to hop down from my apartment to explore a little. When customers are present, that is not allowed. I hope she comes back for some more very welcome affection. I cannot wait for my forever family to take me home with them. No more being a stray kitty for me! 10-7-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
