Howdy folks! I'm excited to be in the market for my forever family. I was dropped off as a stray cat in December 2025 and adopted a few days later. However, I struggled to adjust to living with the resident cat. We just never reached a place of comfort with each other, so after 4 months, I was returned to the HSHC. I am living in a 3-story Condo with plenty of places to perch or nap. When the Cattery Staff and Volunteers are completing our maid service, they let me out to stretch my legs and socialize with them. The interviewer lady (IL) was also there, watching as I strolled around, sniffing the other cats' cages. I got a kick out of traveling to the other rooms, but I scampered back to my home-sweet-home when I was startled by a big noise in the hall. I am only 2-years-old and still trying to figure out my life situation. I am super curious and a major fan of interactive playtime. The IL and I spent a long time playing together, and I could have kept it up a lot longer. I would love to chase a laser pointer (just turn it off so I think I caught it), fishing-pole string toys I can catch, and other activities I can share with you. I will seek you out when I want your loving attention. When I'm feeling lovey-dovey, I can be picked up and held like a baby for a while. The volunteers know that I love to be held. I am an enigma-independent, yet I want to be with my people. I may become overstimulated during play, so please watch for my signals. I especially like the 16-year-old family member who reads my body language well. I am skilled at using a scratching post, so please provide me with one or more! My medical exam revealed I had urinary crystal which is a very painful condition. The HSHC put me on the Hill's C/D diet, which has successfully reduced my crystals. I'm a bit chubby at 14.5 pounds, but more playtime will help! Let's meet to see if I'm the right fit for you! 6-5-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
