Bailey
Hey there! I am coming to you from the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe (SKCC), where I have been since September 18. Before that, I was a stray cat brought to the HSHC on September 3. Because I was microchipped, my owner was found, and she also surrendered three other cats. My head is spinning with all the changes in location and people. I am a black and white, 1-year and 7- months old, neutered, a trained litter box user, and a bit of a shy guy. The interviewer lady (IL) came to talk with me last week. I stayed in the room with the litter boxes and cat cubbies, as I was still building up the courage to roam the space. I sniffed the IL's hand and let her touch my head, but I scooted back into the cubby so that she could tell I was not feeling brave. One sure-fire way to identify me at the Cafe is the small black dot right under my nose. My white whiskers stand out nicely against my coal-black coat. The SKCC staff member told the IL that I am a sweet-natured boy, and when there are no crowds of customers, I will come out to socialize. It takes me a while to feel safe and comfortable. I will probably need a lengthy introduction to your home and its two- and four-legged family members. I truly want to find my forever home and a person who will love me, and I can love back. 9-23-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
