Become a Love & Let Live Donor
It costs approximately $672 per month, per animal, to provide basic care and shelter to nearly 4,000 animals each year. The best way to help us cover the growing cost of daily care is by becoming a Love & Let Live monthly donor. As one of the only open admission, truly no-kill shelters in the country, HSHC takes in the hardest to save, and often place, animals imaginable.
Super seniors over the age of 10 years old, bonded pairs who can’t bear to be separated, and animals with special medical needs or disabilities may wait several months for the right home. We believe they equally deserve to live, love and be loved. Your monthly gift ensures they’ll never run out of time.

Why give monthly?
Donations are automatically charged to your preferred payment method each month making giving hassle-free! By providing us with a reliable source of income, you ensure every animal receives a second chance regardless of age, breed, disability or other unique needs.
What fun things will I receive as a Love & Let Live donor?
When you sign up, you will receive a handwritten thank you card with a polaroid of an adoptable animal! You will also receive quarterly e-newsletters with exclusive updates on the animals whose daily care you’re supporting.
How will I receive tax receipts for my monthly gifts?
You will receive monthly email confirmations when your gifts are processed. We will also provide you with a statement summarizing your monthly gifts at the end of each calendar year.
How do I update my payment information or discontinue my giving?

Read Lucy's Story
Lucy adopted Mrs. Nala, a senior in desperate need of a loving home, from HSHC in July of 2023. Now she helps other animals find their forever homes by contributing to their care as a Love & Let Live monthly donor.
While not every shelter would’ve taken a chance on an 11-year-old Pit Bull like Mrs. Nala, the support of our monthly donors made it possible for us to care for her until she found Lucy.
