Because I weigh 12.5 pounds and am rather tall, you might assume I am older than I am. But I am only 1-year, 5-months old. The interviewer lady (IL) told me I am exceptionally handsome, wearing a charming coat of brown, tan, black, and white. My eyes are greenish gold. I certainly stand out in a crowd. My family got me from a friend when I was 5-months old. They reported that I am a "very chill cat", which I consider a compliment. Some of my endearing qualities include: I like to be held over the shoulder like a baby. I am a skilled lap sitter. I crave being petted on my head, behind my ears, and surprisingly, on my belly! I have lived with a small dog and two kids. I was a fantastic playmate of the kids, letting them roughhouse with me and enjoying their pets. I am not a huge fan of treats, as I prefer loving praise for my accomplishments. I am crazy about wand toys and things that roll, so I can chase them! I am fine with being brushed with a metal toothed brush. When I become frightened, I usually make myself scarce. I was very sad when my family surrendered me to the HSHC on February 28. Once I was examined by the medical staff, it was discovered that I had an upper respiratory infection, gingivitis (irritated gums), and a urinary tract infection with painful crystals. Whew! I hung out in sick bay, taking medicine and recovering. Now I am back in the Adoptable Cattery and hoping to find my new family. The IL was really taken in by my friendly personality. I gave her nose kisses and head butts, accompanied by my deep baritone purr. When you meet me and decide I must be yours, the HSHC staff will provide you with the best ways to introduce me to your home. Give me a space of my own where I can unwind, give me at least 3 months to feel comfortable, and engage in interactive play with me using wand toys and laser pointers. I promise to be a loving companion for you. 4-4-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
