Description Giggleboops
Giggleboops
I may have the strangest name you've ever heard. But as a stray kitty in December 2025, I was so grateful to have a warm place to stay and regular meals. I would have answered to any name! To the best of my knowledge, I am a 3-year-old, 6.4-pound, spayed, DSH, brown tabby girl. I have little experience being cared for or given loving attention. So when the Animal Control Officer picked me up and brought me to the HSHC, I was terrified. When a cat is fearful, they often show their fear by hissing, swatting, scratching, or running away. The HSHC folks call this being under-socialized. The medical staff found that I had parasites. I had to spend some time in sick bay taking medicine to get rid of them. Once I was healthy, on February 17, I went to live in a foster home. My foster mom (FM) is very experienced with scaredy cats. She understands that it would take me longer to get settled than it would a brave one. Every day she tells me I am the sweetest little girl, so soft and lovable. I am an extremely timid cat, but I still crave attention! I show my appreciation by rubbing against FM and anything I can touch. If something moves, like a wind-up toy or a ball, I immediately disappear into a hiding spot. Once the coast is clear, I return purring and begging for more pets. Despite my cautious nature, I have begun to play with FM. I enjoy watching a flutter wand, as long as it doesn't land too close to me. FM leaves the door to the foster cat room open when she is nearby. I've only left the room once, but I hightailed it to the dog bed to hide. The resident cats come into the foster room, and I simply watch them without issue. My litter box habits are perfect-no accidents. My favorite things include birdwatching, Temptations cat treats, being petted, being brushed with a soft brush, fresh grass, and moist food with gravy. My time with my FM is making a big difference in my outlook on life. I am excited to think that soon I will find my forever family and become a beloved pet kitty. 4-3-26

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?

You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
