About Sir Apollo
How do you do? You can call me Apollo, who was the most revered and influential of the Greek gods. It seems appropriate. I am 10-years-old and full of the wisdom granted to Seniors. On August 16, I was surrendered to the HSHC along with the youngster Matteo. Recently, we have lived with several different owners, moving around several times. As you know, change is an intolerable situation for cats, and we were rehomed for about a month before our latest owner surrendered us to HSHC due to a lack of interest. How disappointing. I am a handsome chap, at 16 pounds, with a charming personality. It's true that with age, a fellow can be a bit moody and have trouble settling into new circumstances. I have lived with the cat called Matteo in several different settings. It doesn't take long before his shenanigans test my patience. We were placed in a lovely foster home to see if living in a house would be the solution. We had the run of the basement, and I soon warmed up, displaying my endearing qualities. At first, everything was fine. I am fond of sitting in a cat tree, just observing the world as it goes by. I always appreciate mealtimes. The family was a delight, and I loved snuggling with them, having them stroke my head and back. They complimented me on my impeccable litter box skills and realized that although I did not enjoy the dog's company, I tolerated it. I was always pleasant with any visitors. However, living with Matteo became more than I could bear. One day, I was roaming about looking for a place to dodge him, when I found the bathroom cabinet. I opened the door and found the coziest place to sleep every night, on top of the towels. I came out every morning cheerful and ready for pets! Believe me when I say I am a gentleman and would make a perfect companion for you. Just don't bring Matteo along. 10-15-25

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
