Description Snoop (in Foster)
Snoop
Howdy folks. I'm pleased to see you reading my interview. My owner passed away, so in mid-May, I was brought to the HSHC. The medical staff noted I was emaciated at 5.7 pounds, dehydrated, and had to have mats shaved from my long black & white coat. Because I exhibited a low weight and an unkempt appearance, testing revealed I was hyperthyroid. I began taking a reasonably priced medication to control this condition. It's a manageable condition, and with the proper care, I can live a long, healthy life. I am 15-years-old, neutered, and always use my litterbox. I have been staying with a foster mom (FM) since June 21, and we are getting along like Mickey & Minnie Mouse! She told the interviewer lady (IL) that I have been an absolute joy. I am an attention seeker, preferring to ensure I am close to her. I follow her pretty much everywhere in the apartment. I chow down on the special-diet dry food, but I want nothing to do with the wet food HSHC supplied. FM gives me my daily pill by placing it on the back of my tongue, and I don't mind it much at all. I have a loving, affectionate personality and will gently paw at FM's arm or leg when I want attention. Before I went to my foster home, the IL visited with me and fell in love! I gave her repeated head butts, pushed against her hand for pets and demonstrated my winning personality. She was shocked to feel every bone in my little body, but pleased to see how friendly I am. My FM and the IL think you should be smart and adopt me now! 7-2-25

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?

You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
