Description Darlene (in Foster)
Darlene is the definition of a gentle soul. This sweet senior girl has come a long way-from being nervous and unsure to confidently claiming her spot on the couch (pillow included). She's fully house-trained, doesn't need to be crated, and has the perfect mix of independence and affection. Darlene has recently discovered the joy of zoomies and even plays with her younger foster brother, Tucker!

Although she gets along with other dogs, Darlene would do best as the only dog in the home where she can enjoy all the love and attention. She's great with kids, incredibly tolerant of cats, and quietly chooses to sleep upstairs with her foster family (but hasn't yet made the leap onto the bed-respectful queen!). She now follows her people from room to room, gently nudging for love and curling up nearby.

A fenced-in backyard is preferred, as she enjoys safe outdoor time to explore and relax at her own pace. Darlene would thrive in a peaceful home with people who appreciate the quiet loyalty and loving presence only a senior dog can give.

If you're looking for a low-maintenance, heart-melting companion, Darlene might just be your perfect match. ??

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?

You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
