Description Peter
Peter
Hi, Hi, Hi! I'm so glad you've stopped by to see me. I am excited about meeting new people, and I can barely hold still when I think about it! I am 2-years-old, but I still feel like a kitten inside. Wow! You might consider adopting me and taking me home with you. Ooo, I'm thrilled just thinking about it. I was a stray cat in early May and got adopted, but on June 12, I was returned. I guess I was too boisterous for their two cats. Our introduction didn't work very well, and I began chasing and pouncing on them. They didn't like me. I was sorry, but they couldn't forgive me. The Feline Care Specialists here think I need a confident, slightly older, playful cat, preferably one with experience with younger cats, to show me the ropes. My own mom probably didn't have me long enough to teach me good cat manners. I'm not a bad boy, just inexperienced. I get along with humans very well. During a recent showing, I was extremely friendly, sweet, calm, and engaging. As an energetic and enthusiastic social cat, I do not enjoy being alone. When I've been in a room by myself, I meowed & meowed, pulled a canopy from a bed, knocked over a fan, and opened a door with horizontal door handles. On the other hand, I do get into my carrier with ease. Catnip seems to calm me down. And my humans can hold me, pick me up, do anything with me; I'd let it happen. I am super snuggly and affectionate. Having so much energy, I would love to have interactive playtime with my people a few times a day, to help wear me out. Laser pointers, chase toys, and fishing pole toys that I can grab will all help tire me. I am a really cute and spunky cat, and I'd like to find an owner who appreciates that in a cat. 7-11-25

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?

You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
