Description Alfie (Bonded To Friskie)
Friskie and Alfie
Of all the bonded pairs of cats in the HSHC cattery, we want you to know we are the best couple. No kidding, we have polled all the other cats, and they agree we are sublime. You don't have to ask them, just take our word for it. We are a pair of littermates, Friskie is the girl, and I am Alfie, the boy. We are 13-years-old DLH tabbies, already spayed and neutered. The only reason we are here is because of allergies. You see, we were our owner's wife's cats. She is no longer in the picture, but the new wife is allergic to us. We've been residing at the HSHC since April 22, and although we prefer being in a home, this place has been most hospitable. We have demonstrated exemplary manners and winning personalities with the staff and volunteers. The interviewer lady (IL)has been most impressed with our friendly greetings, enviable good looks, and gentle natures. Friskie has a luxurious, brown tabby coat, while I have a flowing white and brown tabby coat. We must emphasize that our long hair and double coats require daily brushing, and we will shed seasonally. Without regular grooming, this can lead to matting, dirty ears, or skin infections. But hey, with our looks and charm, we are worth it! I have been an indoor/outdoor cat and would spend the night outside during nice weather. I always came in for food in the morning, then I'd sleep all day until next mealtime, then eat and go outside. I stayed in the yard and the back garden. During the winter months, I enjoyed the garage. I want to sit in your lap and give you affection when you sit down. Sleeping on your bed is a luxury I enjoy. You can hold me like a baby. Friskie feels much the same about life. She was known to follow our owner when he walked the dog. During the winter months, she also likes being in the garage. Friskie ignored the dog while inside, but she would follow her and play with her outside. She is a sun-worshipping goddess! She doesn't play as much as I do, but sunshine always puts her in a great mood. To conclude this interview, we would like to let you know we got rave reviews from the medical staff, including "Nice gal!" and "He's perfect!" We need a loving home and are ready to bring joy to your life. 5-7-25

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?

You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
