About Unity

Dogs – Bring your pup for a meet and sniff
Cats – TBD
Kids – 15 yrs and up
Unity is a toy-chasing, tail-bouncing, leap-for-joy kind of girl. Watching her play is like seeing pure happiness in motion. Toss her a toy and you'll get a front-row seat to her adorable hops, pounces, and zooms. She believes a good game of fetch is the best part of the day.
Unity came to us as a stray and needed time to settle in. She's now living in a visiting room at the shelter where she's calm, clean, quiet, and clearly happiest when things are low-key. She takes a little time to warm up to new people and places. She prefers slow introductions and gentle handling, and she appreciates when people respect her space. Once she feels safe, she becomes more affectionate and even snuggly in her own way. With the right match, her circle of trust will grow.
Unity would love a quiet, steady home with adults or respectful older teens who understand that not every dog is ready for hugs on day one. She'll thrive with someone patient and kind, who's willing to let her set the pace. In return, you'll earn the trust of a truly special dog.
If you believe in second chances and have a toy or two ready to throw, Unity might be waiting just for you.

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
