About Tucker

Hey there! Before I start my interview, let me fill you in on what the Cattery Manager had to say about me! She called me a "very laid-back, lovely cat who would be the perfect cat if not for his litterbox issues. Now that gives me some bragging rights, don't you agree? Here is my side of the story. I am 13-years-old and have lived with my owner for 7 years. [He got me from a friend who had my front paws declawed. Boo, Hiss!] He had another cat with whom I shared two litterboxes. We got along fine as we slept and played together. However, the Cattery Manager knows that litterbox avoidance is an indirect way cats communicate. If it happens in a home with multiple cats, it may indicate conflict, whether or not they show signs of conflict. Another contributing factor is that I'm front-declawed. Remember, I've only had trouble with the LB for 6 to 9 months. Up until then, I was an expert litterbox utilizer. You may notice I have one good ear and one crumpled one. This is the result of the chronic ear infections I've endured. I got along well with the young kids, but when they got too rowdy, I'd make a break for it. I love Temptations cat treats and crinkly toys. I also LOVE to be held in any way, shape, or form! Anyhoo, long story, even longer. I'm a genuine sweetheart of a kitty, loving, affectionate, and crazy about being petted! I purred up a storm when the interviewer lady began massaging my neck. Ask any cattery volunteers, and they will give me an A+ for adoptability. The HSHC staff can give you the lowdown on helping me overcome my temporary break from "the box." 4-16-25

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
