About Pawpy
I was a bit tongue-tied when the interviewer lady (IL) opened my door this afternoon. I had been dozing in my bed, and I was pretty unprepared to answer her questions. Of course, I complimented my luxurious accommodations in the Condo, and was quick to demonstrate my appreciation of the room service food. Gobble, gobble! However, I was a little embarrassed about my appearance. You may notice that I tend to squint due to an eye infection. I am only 3.5 years old, but I have always been an anxious girl, and I've taken it out on my coat with excessive grooming and scratching. The IL was very polite with me and only offered her finger for me to smell. As soon as I rubbed against her hand to encourage her attention, I began to purr loudly! She told me I was an adorable girl and deserved a loving home. She especially liked the orange legging on my left leg and the brown and black striped one on my right. I'm a Calico. She knew that I had been adopted and returned, and seemed to understand that I am a sensitive little worry-wart and can be easily upset by significant changes in my life. These changes have included moving to a new house, adding a dog to the home, developing a painful UTI, sharing two lidded litterboxes with another cat, and two uncovered litterboxes with a different cat. Look, I am the type of cat who likes hanging out with my people, sunbathing in the kitchen window, and eating crunchy treats. I like scratching posts, fuzzy mice, and ping pong balls. The HSHC staff will give you essential information about making my transition to your home a success. The IL called me a "little feline Barney Fife". I don't get it. 9-18-25

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
