About Tank (in Foster)

Check out the photos my foster mom sent to the interviewer lady (IL). In the last picture, I'm chillin' with my 8-month-old foster brothers. I'm the one looking at the camera. Since moving into my foster home, I've been a much happier camper. I am a 2-year-old male DSH brown tabby cat. The woman who owned me since I was a tiny kitten surrendered me to HSHC on January 25 as unwanted. What a blow to my self-esteem. I was so fearful of this significant change that I was moved into a foster home right away. In the past, I've had to deal with painful urinary tract crystals, so the shelter put me on a special diet called C/D to help reduce the risk of bladder stones and crystals. Now my foster mom (FM) says I use my litterbox faithfully. FM reported to the IL that I am a wonderful kitty and the family loves me very much. Although I was initially quite shy and would hiss or hide, my lovable personality shone through once I settled in and began to trust. A major breakthrough was my budding relationship with the two kittens. I love being around them and even attempt to play with them. But I mostly love watching them roughhouse. Because I startle easily and can be nervous, I don't know how I would feel about living with young children. Regarding my dining pleasure, I much prefer crunchy over wet food. I polish off my meals and drink water like the good boy I am. I was a little overweight when I arrived, but I've been losing weight by being more active with the kittens! I have been daydreaming about having a forever home. I long to find my family very soon. Could you be the one to make my dream come true? 5-16-25

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?
You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
