Description Leon
Leon
I'm looking forward to meeting you, my potential forever family. I am 3-years-old and was adopted by my owner when I was a tiny kitten. I lived with her all my life until I was surrendered to HSHC on January 19, '25. She noticed that I had litterbox issues off and on and took me to the Vet. The doctor told her I had a UTI and gave her medicine to give me. But she was unable to administer it, so by the time I got to HSHC, I had developed a bladder stone! Yikes, that hurts! The HSHC had the stone removed, gave me the necessary medicine, and put me on a diet that helped prevent bladder stones from forming. I moved into a foster home to recover, relax more than I had at the shelter, and gain confidence. My foster dad (FD)reported that I did well in his home. I have had NO litterbox issues to date! He was careful to introduce me very slowly to his own cat. Our settling-in was the most successful my FD has experienced! I am still a shy boy, and it will take longer than you might think necessary to become accustomed to my new home. Trust me when I say a lengthy introduction will pay off in the end! I am a handsome black and white boy, already neutered and very capable of adjusting to a new environment. When the interviewer lady stopped my Condo, I was a bit skittish as we had not met before. But she was quiet and didn't push me to do anything; I sniffed her finger and let her touch my head. I like playing with fishing toys on a string when feeling comfortable and confident. I am an attentive, affectionate fellow on my terms. So, we might be a perfect match if you are a patient, understanding person. Please note that I may require regular check-ups to monitor my health and ensure I remain free from bladder stones. 4-14-25

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?

You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
