Kids – Best suited for a home with kids 16+

Some dogs are just different in the best way possible-and that's Harper. At 7 years old, she's smart, independent, and full of personality. She's not the type of dog who's going to follow you around all day, but she'll always be there when it counts-curled up next to you on the couch, watching over the house like it's her personal kingdom, or waiting expectantly for a snack (because let's be honest, food is her love language).

Harper is brilliant. She picks up on emotions, senses bad days, and loves having a job to do. She thrives on routine, structure, and training-she's one of those dogs who enjoys learning just as much as she enjoys lounging. She can be a little picky about her social circle, preferring slow introductions and respectful interactions, but once you're in, you're in.

She's housebroken, crate-trained, and fiercely loyal to her people. She appreciates a calm, predictable home where she can be her best self without too much chaos. She's affectionate but likes to do things on her own terms-think of her like a dog with a cat's soul.

Harper isn't looking for just any home-she's looking for the right fit. One that appreciates her brilliant mind, her independent streak, and her unwavering devotion. If you're ready for a true companion with a personality all her own, Harper is waiting to meet you!

Not Quite Ready To Adopt?

You can make an immeasurable impact by opening your home and your heart to an animal in need. Fostering is a great opportunity to introduce a pet into your home without making a lifelong commitment. Many of our foster humans end up adopting their fostered animals, but many also choose to just provide the temporary shelter and love our animals need to get through a trying time.
